Safety & Risk Engineering

Risk Assessments should be conducted at all phases of the project life cycle to identify hazards and put in place measures to eliminate or mitigate risks to acceptable or As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) levels.

Hazard & Risk Assessments

Atteris’ experienced risk assessment workshop facilitators ensure effective engagement-with and input-from all key stakeholders, resulting in efficient and effective workshops, practical risk registers and action plans which will minimise project risks to as low as reasonably practicable.

We have extensive experience in delivering HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, FMECA, SMS and RBI assessments.

Dropped Objects Risk Assessments

Atteris performs enhanced dropped object assessments based DNV-RP-F107 principles, enhanced by incorporating a Monte Carlo approach to consider the random position of the crane tip, and random position and orientation of a dropped object.

This approach results in a much lower estimate of rupture risk compared to the standard DNV-RP-F107 drop ring approach and enables specific alterations to the subsea architecture layout to reduce dropped object risk.

Safety Case Development & Revision

We can assist operators to:

  • Originate or revise Pipeline Safety Cases and Operational Pipeline Management Plans inclusive of the required formal safety assessments, risk workshops and document updates.
  • Prepare submissions to the regulator, as well as assisting with closeout of the regulator’s clarifications and comments.
