Browse to Burrup – Concept Select

Browse to Burrup – Concept Select

Benefits
Atteris provided a dedicated multi-disciplinary SURF and trunkline team coupled with its automated engineering processes for the purpose of Concept Select for Woodside’s “Browse to Burrup” Development. The automation for streamlining of engineering workflows resulted in the successful delivery of a thorough development evaluation and concept selection decision. This approach de-risked the compressed work schedule which was driven by an overall project decision gate analysis milestone.
Background
Woodside’s Browse Development is located approximately 300 km from the Kimberley coast offshore Western Australia, some 425 km North of Broome and incorporates the Brecknock, Calliance and Torosa offshore gas-condensate fields. The Browse to Burrup Development considers production via two permanently moored FPSOs, with gas export via a DN1050 trunkline approximately 1000 km to tie-in at the NRA platform.
Work Performed by Atteris
  • Overall Subsea System Engineering and basis for development
  • Field Layouts addressing orientation and layout of the FPSO facilities, flowlines and associated subsea infrastructure
  • Dynamic Riser Analysis assessing a range of riser system solutions at the proposed FPSO locations for flexible pipes, umbilicals and DEH cables
  • 42-inch Torosa via Calliance / Brecknock to NRA Export Trunkline Engineering including basic mechanical design, stability design, and route selection
  • Dropped Object assessments in support of field layout options utilising advance probabilistic simulation for layout optimisation
