Laverda Concept Select

Laverda Concept Select

Benefits
Atteris performed the Concept Select engineering for the Woodside Greater Laverda and Ragnar Developments. Atteris extensive experience of the area through which the pipeline was to be routed allowed Atteris to complete the Concept Select phase very effectively and efficiently, arriving at a robust cost estimate for the execution.
Background
Woodside examined the potential to develop the Greater Laverda and Ragnar fields using subsea wells, tied back to an FPSO in 830m water depth by subsea flowlines and flexible risers. Sales gas export to the mainland was planned to be via a ~113 km subsea trunkline and tied in to either the Tubridgi or Macedon gas plants.
Work Performed by Atteris

Atteris performed the Concept Select engineering for the gas export pipeline. Preliminary design included mechanical design, stability and spanning assessments, and preliminary linepipe and coatings material selection. Preliminary route selection was performed taking into consideration geohazards, constructability, bottom roughness, proximity to existing infrastructure and crossings, shore approach, shore crossing and onshore routing options. Various route options were developed and ranked in preparation for offshore survey. Atteris developed the scope of work for survey for the proposed pipeline export route, and cost estimates for the pipeline.
