Metocean Engineering – Pluto LNG Project

Metocean Engineering – Pluto LNG Project

Benefits
Atteris was able to promptly flag to their client, Woodside Energy, the missing metocean data which was required to complete the design of the secondary stabilisation system. In good collaboration with the Woodside team, and with the use of an external specialist metocean consultant sourced by Atteris, the data was compiled in an efficient manner without delaying the project.
Backround
The operator of the Pluto Project, Woodside Energy Ltd, utilised the services of a specialist consultant to define the design metocean criteria for the hydrodynamic stability design of the 36 inch and 4-inch gas export trunkline system.
In the shallow water (< 30 m water depth) section of the trunkline route, specific design data was required to enable the design of the secondary stabilisation system
Work Performed by Atteris

Atteris developed the scope of work for defining the required metocean design data, engaged a specialist metocean consultant, and managed the work on behalf of Woodside Energy, in close communication with the Woodside metocean engineer.

The data provided was exactly what the project needed, and enabled Atteris to complete the design of the secondary stabilisation system for the Pluto Trunkline System.
