The project involved a comprehensive gap analysis of the Bass Strait pipeline integrity management documents. These included the safety case, pipeline design bases, pipeline integrity management plan, equipment maintenance strategies, pipeline repair manual, risk assessments and condition reports from inspection, monitoring, maintenance and repair activities.
Atteris noted areas where deviations were observed and where there was insufficient information to confirm that the integrity management process was being followed. The assessment adopted Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to provide an objective measure of performance. The findings were presented in a detailed report to BHPB Petroleum. A terms of reference for an on-site verification audit was also developed.
