Julimar Phase 2 IMMR Risk Response Assessment

Julimar Phase 2 IMMR Risk Response Assessment

Benefits
The Risk Response Assessment (RRA) performed by Atteris applied a detailed and systematic approach that provided the Client with a structured catalogue of the potential risks the subsea development could be exposed to, and the measures that could be taken to mitigate these risks during the design and operational phases. Performed early during the design phase, the Client was able to influence design elements that presented a high-risk during the operations phase.
Background
The subsea development consisted of a gas production system which includes rigid pipeline, umbilicals and subsea hardware. The system tied-back to an existing manifold. The aim was to define and assess the operational risks and determine whether the risk could be mitigated or managed through inspection, monitoring, maintenance and/or repair (IMMR) activities.
Work Performed by Atteris

Atteris performed the risk response assessment by:

  • Defining the subsea system boundary, taxonomic structure (components and sub-components), failure scenarios and possible IMMR responses.
  • Assessing the risk (likelihood and consequence of failure) for each failure scenario based on the Client’s corporate risk matrix.
  • Facilitating a workshop with the Client to confirm the credible failure scenarios, to agree on the selected IMMR response and risk ranking.
