Atteris prepared and facilitated a face-to-face risk assessment workshop for an offshore pipeline and offloading system with subject matter experts present. A risk assessment report was prepared that identified credible risks to an offshore system and actions assigned to address unacceptable risks.

Background

Oil Search Limited (OSL) operates the Kutubu Oil Project. The Kutubu development comprises of a network of oil producing wells, a gathering system, on-site processing facilities and supporting infrastructure. In line with the 5 yearly Safety Management System (SMS) review process, OSL engaged Atteris to facilitate a DNV RP F116 risk assessment workshop for the offshore pipeline and offloading system.

Work Performed by Atteris

The two-day risk assessment workshop explored newly identified risks and assigned actions to unacceptable risk based on advice from subject matter experts.

Activities performed include

Preparation of workshop by pre-populating risk assessment with existing offshore operating information.
Level of operational risk revisited.
A structured risk assessment template and process based on threats identified as according to DNV-RP-F116 and DNV-RP-00002.
A face-to-face workshop focused on confirming and clarifying the identified risks to the offshore system.
A risk assessment report that documented the risks based operating conditions and events that occurred since the last risk assessment.
Actions were assigned to address unacceptable risks.
